SOCCPN Annual Survey of Sex Offender Civil Commitment Programs 2011

October 2011 National:

Discharges from conditional release

-4/5 programs reported discharges

-Ns = 6, 34, 7, & 28

-1 program has discharged no residents

-3/5 programs reported at least some discharges that were not supported by the program (range 1 – 14)

-Length of stay on conditional release status for those who were eventually discharged ranged from 2 years to 3 years, 9 months

-32 residents have died while on CR status

If the average time on CR (Conditional Release) is 2-3 years, 32 deaths seems very high. eAdvocate
