Blog Overview:

First a few things about this blog, or if you want to jump to the Tutorial click.

The purpose of this blog is simply to provide information about U.S. Civil Commitment centers, and the commitment process of folks following prison sentences, including court decisions. So far, these commitments seem to be limited to folks who have committed sex offenses and they are labeled sexually violent predators (SVPs). However, with that said, we will not be covering civil commitment of folks for mental health reasons which is a separate process.
Our opinion of civil commitment following prison sentences, as we know it today (roughly 1995 and beyond) is, it is an unconstitutional deprivation of a person's rights under the U.S. Constitution. But we are but one opinion and the courts do not agree with us.

To the best of our knowledge (May 2013) this is the ONLY place on the Internet that covers news, general information, court cases, and related research for ALL 23 jurisdictions that civilly commit folks following their prison sentences in the United States.

Our intent is to provide current information and may comment on it, at the start of a post -in red-, readers may also comment and respectable comments will be posted. Our FULL commenting Policy is HERE.

For now have a great day and a better tomorrow.
